New Fox News Poll Shows Americans’ No. 1 Concern is Economy, As New Trump-Pence Administration Takes Office
PHILADELPHIA, Pa.—On a chilly, rainy Friday in Washington, D.C., President Donald Trump vowed to make America great again, namely by strengthening the economy and returning jobs and prosperity to American families.
They were words many had been waiting for, especially as the middle class has been trampled and browbeaten over the past eight years, says financial expert and national radio and television host Dan Celia.
“After Friday’s festivities, today begins Donald Trump’s first official week on the job, and the American people voted for him, in part, because of what he promised to do for the economy,” Celia said. “For years, the middle class has been decimated by policies and regulations that hampered the economy, and by extension, their jobs and their chance to improve their financial situation. Now, we have a president who truly cares for the American people and wants to see them succeed. Donald Trump is a businessman, and if he runs America like a well-oiled, growth-centered, prosperous business, there’s no telling how far we can go.”
According to a new Fox News poll, a significant number of Americans says the economy is their No. 1 concern, with almost half (46 percent) stating it is “extremely” important for Trump to focus on the economy/jobs in his first year. Other high-ranking concerns include terrorism (44 percent), health care (43 percent), government spending (38 percent), foreign policy (34 percent), Supreme Court nominations (33 percent) and immigration (27 percent).
Even when those surveyed were given the chance to fill in absolutely any issue they thought was important, the economy finished first again, with 25 percent writing in that answer.
“This poll is real evidence that Americans are hungry for economic growth that will help them provide for their families, restore dignity when it comes to their finances and feel like they are contributing to the betterment of America,” Celia added.
Overall, the poll found that two-thirds feel optimistic about the economy (66 percent), with answers uncharacteristically even among independents (61 percent), Democrats (64 percent) and Republicans (72 percent). And about a quarter (23 percent) credit the recent rise in the stock market to Trump, while 13 percent say it’s due to former President Barack Obama.

Through FISM, Celia educates investors by researching the organizations that corporations support and then encourages biblically responsible investing so that God is honored, especially as Americans plan for the new year financially.
